Bats In Your Bra?

Just goes to show,  take care gettiong dressed when you’re travelling in unfamiliar places!!

Abbie Hawkins, a hotel receptionist felt a strange vibrating sensation in her gel bra while at work which she simply assumed was her mobile phone ringing.  However, she was rather taken aback to discover that it was actually a bat that had made its home in her underwear and that it had been there all morning!

As alarmed hotel staff crowded around the front desk to get a better look, a stunned Miss Hawkins delved into her bra and pulled out the small furry creature.  Miss Hawkins, 19, who works at the Holiday Inn near Norwich International Airport said, “Once I realised it was a bat I was shocked, but then I felt quite sorry for it really.

It looked very snug in there and I thought how mean I was for disturbing it.  I did not notice anything as I put my bra on. The night before I had had one or two drinks and I was getting ready quickly.  The bra was in my drawer but it had been on the washing line the day before.”

As the terrified little bat tried to hide from the crowd of hotel staff, the hotel’s manager took it outside and set it free.

A spokesperson for the Bat Conservation Trust said they had never heard of a bat being found in a bra before.  Bats often roost in trees or under roof tiles – anywhere that is dark or safe.

Well I’ve heard of socks being put in a bra to boost your size, but bats??  Isn’t it going just a little too far?

The only moral of this story is, do check your bras before putting them on, especially if you’ve had a drink the night before!

Happy Halloween!
